Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do you do as a coach?

This link is the best place to start, but I’ll explain a bit here as well:

We work together to identify where you’re at, what your dreams are, and we plot a course to close that gap and get you closer to making those dreams a reality.

At this point, you’ve probably realized the road to your dreams isn’t always linear, or else you would probably already be there.

Or maybe you realized that your dreams aren’t what you thought they were, and you’re noticing a deeper desire coming through that doesn’t seem to align with the goals and achievements you’ve worked toward thus far.

Life can throw us some curveballs, and there are often some roadblocks that can get in the way; trust me, I know.

We can work together to learn how to better respond to those curveballs, identify and clear out those roadblocks that have been keeping you from your fullest potential for way too long, and create a life that before you never dreamed possible.

what does it look like to work with you?

I am happy to chat more about the exact details of my coaching packages with you on a free consultation call, but I use a similar approach for all my clients, regardless of how long we work together.

Through our sessions, we work to transform the way you see the world to one that can enable you to more powerfully achieve the goals and dreams you have.

I’m not about patchwork solutions – *fixing* the symptom and dishing out the same generic advice to all my clients. I want to address the root cause of the problem to begin with to minimize the likelihood that you wind up right back where you started weeks, months, years before.

I’m here to get at the core of the problems and move forward. We take a look at the past, but we also create vision, and with your commitment and action, those visions can become your new reality.

how are your sessions run? DO WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER IN-PERSON?

No! I run most of my sessions via phone or Skype, so we can work together no matter where you live. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, I’ve coached people in other countries around the world, so we can talk from wherever you are.

Can I just work with you instead of going to therapy?

No. I am trained as a life coach, not as a therapist.  There are different topics, times, etc. when each modality is appropriate, but life coaching is NOT a substitute for therapy, medication, etc.

That being said, I am happy to work with those under the care of a psychologist, therapist, or other mental health professional, as long as you doing so would be healthy, safe, and beneficial for you. Consult your doctor to determine if this is a good time.

Please take good care of yourself and get the help you need <3

Are you available for interviews or speaking opportunities?

Definitely! I really enjoy these opportunities, but it’s important to me that it’s a good fit for both of us. If you’re interested, please fill out a contact form, and I will get back to you ASAP!

What are your qualifications?

Believe it or not, I’ve had a heck of a lot of life experience with the very things I help my clients through, but even if I haven’t personally been through a particular situation, I can still help!

That’s because I am a life coach trained through the Martha Beck Institute, have worked with many coaches / healers / teachers myself, and have spent years studying personal development + the human mind, among other related topics, in my ‘spare’ time.

In my previous career phase, I was a management consultant, working for top global companies, where I applied and learned many of the skills I use as a coach to develop, communicate, and implement solutions to challenges faced by coporations.

All that, plus I have the gift of being an incredible listener, innovative problem-solver, a sense of curiosity, and a huge capacity for empathy – all of which are critical to being a great coach.

Lastly, I want to be clear that I am not a lawyer, doctor, medical professional, accountant or financial advisor, nutritionist, personal trainer, therapist or other mental health professional.
